M.I.A. Linked To Terrorist Group: Terrorism Smerrorism
Thanks to Clutch for this info but, it's really nothing new to me. A Sri Lankan/American hip-hop artist named DeLon, questions M.I.A. for using images that represent the terrorist group, The Liberation Tiger Tamils of Eelam (LTTE). Now I'm not going to sit up here and say that I know a whole lot about LTTE besides what I read on wikipedia but, I will say this: a lot of groups or organizations that are labeled as terrorists are simply groups who are fighting for their country, their people, their freedom, and for what's right in their minds. The Black Panthers were labeled as terrorists and they were just doing for their people what the government wouldn't. Now,I'm not just a person who listens to music for the beats. When I listen to music I listen to EVERYTHING! I listen to the beats, the instruments, the lyrics, and I even listen out for samples. I pay attention to ad libs and again pretty much everything. When I first heard M.I.A.'s music I already knew that she was a freedom fighter. A lot of her lyrics are what people would call radical. I absolutely have no problem with it. I actually love it. Her lyrics and choice to speak out about a lot of world issues and issues in her country are actually a huge part of why I like her, besides the fact that she's just cute, unique, her own person, and her songs make my head bob. I wouldn't say that these accusations are far fetched but, I'm not going to stop listening to her music either.

I heart me some M.I.A...
She is not a terrorist.
Her dad was a freedom fighter and her family had to go into hiding for years.
I have no clue what LTTE is about, but they are so quick to label someone a "terrorist" these days (smh).
Me too! I don't think she's a terrorist either.
I love M.I.A like everyone else mentioned she is not a terrorist.
George Bush is a damn terrorist, and every other President before him was too.
Exactly. George Bush sure is!
