My June Column for ThinkGirl
I’ll admit when I was young I was terrified of going to the doctor. I also wasn’t that enthused about staying healthy. It wasn’t until I got older and witnessed a 16 year old cousin of mine battle ovarian cancer, and heard about a 25 year old childhood friend dying of breast cancer that I decided to try my hardest to stay healthy. Witnessing those things also made me realize that you don’t have to be an old woman for something as serious as cancer to occur. A lot of women don’t get needed annual check ups for various reasons, such as a lack of insurance and fear. Sometimes when they do find out about something as serious as cancer, unfortunately it’s too late (read more here)

Yea this is much better. I should have switched back a long time ago.
