Once again Ashanti is holding it down without The Inc. Her brand new album, The Declaration was released yesterday. I must say this album shows her vocal strength the most. You can also clearly hear Ashanti's growth through her vocals and lyrics. I'm happy that this time around her album isn't filled with skits and guest appearances by no name rappers/labelmates of The Inc. She coos on this album about love, lust, and gratitude. She even has a song titled mother, which is quite frankly a dedication to her momager, Tina Douglas. I think the best songs on this album are:
- Good Good
- Struggle
- Girlfriend
- Things You Make Me Do
- The Way That I Love You
